seoul food for people who love to eat
Happy Samgyeopsal Day, ya’ll!
What better day to eat 3-layer pork than on the third day of the third month? According to the Joongang Daily, most major retailers like Lottemart, E-mart, and Homeplus are having discount sales, department stores like Lotte will have tastings, and the Korean Swine Associate will serving up portions of Porky at Migliore in Myeongdong.

TOO MANY OPTIONS!
There’s so much porky goodness out there . . . in Seoul, try the Mapo area. Both Zen Kimchi and the Metropolitican give Mapo Jeong Daepo (마포 정 대포) a solid endorsement not only for the pork but also the unique omlet-making grillpan. Roboseyo is a fan of the back-alley places between Pagoda Park and Jongno 5-ga. Fatman’s pork nirvana was reached in Boseong, Jeolla-do, made from supremely happy porkers on a green tea diet. Jeju’s famous black pigs also produce some mighty succulent meat.
Korea is heaven for the non-Kosher consumer.
