seoul food for people who love to eat
Episode 46 of Gourmet Magazine‘s series “Diary of a Foodie” will be a grand tour of Korean food . . .
Korea: Ancient Food, Modern World
Check out the preview now at their website (tip of the fat hat to Seoul Eats’ Dan Gray, who also appears in the episode), and while you’re at it check out their recipe for bindaeddeok (you cannot hold Fatman responsible for their lousy romanization!), another for boseot jeongeol, a dubu chorim, Korean-style cucumber and apple pickles, haemul pajeon, quick and easy kimchi, , and a fresh romaine salad with Korean inspiration, and more from the March issue. All in all a good month for hanshik!

I bet the reason the proportions aren’t written is because you just need to cook it a hundred times until you have the knack for getting it right. I knew a lady who won “Best Pie in British Columbia” and all her recipes were “A handful of this, and mix in a bit of that, until there’s enough…”
