seoul food for people who love to eat
Rumor has it that Daedongkang Beer is sporadically available south of the DMZ, and Fatman would be especially thankful for some leads on where we might aquire some. Anybody know? Has anybody tried 대동강맥주 before?

You can buy as much of the stuff as you want if you go visit the DMZ.

If I remember correctly, you have two opportunities. One is at the gift shop on the American/ROK base, and the other is at a gift shop next to the restaurant where the USO took us for lunch. Other tours might be different, but the USO tour was the cheapest.
You can also get North Korean soju, wine, liquor, honey, ginseng, and other stuff.
I like the beer, and I actually thought the soju was better than the usual South Korean stuff. IMO, Taedonggang tastes pretty much like your standard light lager.

I have freind who owns a bar down here in Jinju, and he sold the stuff for a while. It was just normal beer. A little skunky but I wasnt bad.
